Ruairi's Blog

Welcome to my website! This page is my first attempt at HTML "vibe-coding," in which I used Microsoft CoPilot to help me create an introductory web page. I find coding very interesting and intend to learn more about coding with AI and traditional coding to enhance my web design skillset. On this page, I will introduce myself by sharing pictures from my life, a few songs that resonate with me, my current university course schedule at UT Austin, and links to some websites I enjoy. In the future, I would like to continue working on this coding project and turn my site into a full-fledged blog. If you have any advice, questions, or recommendations, feel free to contact me via email: ra43394@my.utexas.edu .

Spring 2026 Course Schedule

Registering for courses at UT Austin is hard, as classes fill up quickly. Here's the weekly schedule I was able to get this semester. I intend to minor in Fashion and Consumer Science alongside majoring in Accounting. TXA 301C (Intro to the Fashion Industry) is the introductory class for this pathway.

Influencial Songs

I listen to a wide variety of music, and I'm not sure how to define the genres I like perfectly. I'd say I like sad indie, hopeful folk, and 90s grunge the most. I also really like listening to CDs and physical media instead of streaming music. Here are some examples of songs that I find really meaningful!

Everything is Romantic is one of my new favorite Charli XCX songs. I saw her Sweat concert in October, 2024. My old favorite of hers was "Von Dutch."

The Cranberries are one of my favorite artists! I love the vocals and the meaning behind their songs.

TV Girl is a really unique artist. I like the genre, vocals, and themes of their music. This song is one of my favorites because it samples Richard Nixon saying "I am not a crook" following the Watergate scandal.

Odie Leigh is a bit of a smaller artist. I would consider her a part of the folk genre, and I like the remorseful and bittersweet feeling of her music.
